walking in the land unknown

I’ve been travelling the world

in my mind

to find

the land unknown

 

I remember laying in the grass

beneath the vast sky

breathing gratitude

and praying for love

in this country unknown

 

I remember walking this path

to the beat of my heart

longing to be seen

asking to be heared

laughing sweet happiness

in this land unknown

 

My prayers were answered

I was given a map

with lights of love

leading the way

 

Now, I needn’t travel no more

The land is known

 

It was right in front of me

inside me

around me
